The 2023 Virginia Louise McClure Music Performance Competition Winner

 

The winner of the 2023 Virginia Louise McClure Music Performance Competition is Taylor Despars. She is a senior in The Musical Theater program at Jacksonville University. She has a strong personal connection with music as she was born and grew up in a musical family. She cares deeply about her craft and the quality of the music that she performs, and she loves to make meaningful connections with her audience when she delivers stories through songs. She plans to use this cash prize to help with audition fees and travel expenses as she begins her professional career.
